Facebook is too big to ignore. It’s the largest and most popular social network in the world, with over a billion and a half monthly active users, and over a billion daily active users. If Facebook were a country, it would be substantially bigger than China (source), and it continues to grow by 18% per year.
According to Pew Research, 79% of internet users are on Facebook, and Forbes estimates that fifty million businesses are now using Facebook Pages. As of this week, this includes Pamela Taylor Music.
Within five minutes of sending out invitations to friends, family members, and students, I received over fifty likes! At the moment I have 115 likes/followers and counting. If you’re one of those “likers,” thank you so much! I’d love to keep the momentum going, so could you do me two huge favors?
- Share my Facebook page with people you believe are interested in what I have to offer. Word of mouth has gone digital, and I’d love to connect with people who are thinking of taking music lessons, or who might need a flutist.
- Post a review of my studio, or my work as a musician on my Facebook page. It will help others decide whether or not I’d be a good fit as a teacher and performer. Plus, it’s fun to find out how you think I’m doing!
SECRET FACEBOOK GROUP
As I announced in my last blog post, I also created a special Facebook Group that’s only available to students of my studio and their parents. Here is where you can post comments and questions, and share musical photos and videos that you think are interesting. You can also communicate with other students and parents of my studio, and make arrangements. Access to this page is by invitation only. You need to be on Facebook to be able to use it.
SECRET GARDEN
I have more secrets to share! October 6th is the first performance of a 12-show run of the musical The Secret Garden, at the Civic Theatre in Allentown, PA. It’s an amazing show, and I’ll tell you more about it later. Tickets are now available, and if you click on this link, you’ll go straight to the page where you can order them.
